Norma G. Clark, Kanesville, tah--Norma Garner Clark, 81, died Saturday May 19, 2001 at Ogden Regional Medical Center, from complication following a stroke. She was born Nov. 3, 1919 in Salem, Idaho a daughter of Phillip Andrew and Marther Isbella Pincock Garner. On Aug. 7, 1941 Norma married Lloyd Edwin Clark in the Logan LDS Temple. She had lived in Liberty, Washington Terrace, and Kanesville for the past 50 years. She was a graduate of Weber High School. Norma was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, White Rails Ward. She held many church callings throughout her life and at the time of her death, was the visiting teacher supervisor. She retired from Smith's grocery store after 20 years of service as a clerk. Norma was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She enjoyed traveling and had traveled to all 50 States and throughout the world. Norma also enjoyed gardening, growing flowers and reading. She was always a positive thinker and had unconditional love for her family and anyone who entered her home. She had a great sense of humor, loved to laugh and always had cookies in the cookie jar. Surviving are her husband, Lloyd of Kanesville, Utah; two sons and one daughter, Lynn Andrew (LeeAnn) Clark, Nibley, UT, Rex Lloyd (Diane) Clark, Florence SC, Nelda (Harold) Israelsen, Roy; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Norma is also survived by two brothers and three sisters, Wayne G (Elaine) Garner, and Walter P. (Shirley) Garner, both of South Ogden, Lettie G Stephens, Roseville, CA, Ruth G. Fuller, Farr West and Neta G. Miller, Orem. Preceding her in death were her parents, brothers, Leonard, Von, and Grant; one infant sister, and sisters, Mamie Lewis, Lola Combe, and Elva Vaughn. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Ogden Regional Medical Center for their kind and loving care given to Norma. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Kanesville Ward Chapel, 3939 West 4000 South. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Ward Chapel. Interment will be at Lindquist's Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd., Ogden, Utah. |
